AFAIK you don't need to be a Costco member, but that just means the prices are marked up.

              @nategasm: I got one in the Costco app on Friday. BUT it hasn't landed in my email yet, I've been chasing for 3 days. Doesn't look like I'm eligible for this 40% off offer anyway.

              adding that I just spoke to them again, they have lots of DD cards that havent been sent. Seems a bit garbage to send out door dash offers when you can't even use the gift cards you purchased

                @Jac33au: Unfortunately that has happened before, they get issues sending them out, fix it, then bring it back online. Seems like a stock issue. Sometimes clicking on the resend button in your orders page works.

        After your comment, I checked and found that all items in my last order were marked up by 2.6%. One can verify the receipt of items purchased by the Dasher on the Costco website. With DoorDash charges, I paid about $5 extra for an order of approximately $69. In my opinion, that's still a great value

    Just be aware - I ordered a bunch of stuff. Driver helped themselves to 2kgs of chicken breast. Doordash complaint raised and closed without a successful result despite submitting photos of the Costco receipt showing the chicken was paid for and the box without it in.

    I'm done with delivery apps - even with the "discounts".

      Curious. Do you find this to be a Doordash issue mainly? Or is UberEats like this as well with being tough to get refunds for damaged/stolen items.

      Push them harder, I'm pretty sure they basically just auto-deny every request. Just immediately escalate and be persistent (though respectful).

          If it is on the receipt, it means it passed through the Costco register - so unlikely Costco didn't "supply" it.

            @Daabido: If you're ordering via the Uber Eats app or DoorDash app at Coles or Woolies the delivery person does the shopping for you, it's called pack&deliver.

            In this case of costco the 3rd Party Driver does the shopping.

            (However for Harris Farms and QE foods, they store does the shopping)

      Did you try to ring the delivery person? or contact them? Maybe it got knocked around their car and sittingi in the back seat or under the seat or something.

      Not like Costco provies bags, so it was probably just blonked in the car and it moved around.

      Check the name, name in Costco membership and Name on DoorDash should match. You can update name in DoorDash same as in Costco and try

    … Why did they have to close the docklands one. That was 2.7m from my address. The new one is 8.7m from my address :( and I'll feel very guilty having someone deliver stuff that far and now I have to deal with the "Very far" $7.99 delivery fee.

    How much does a dasher that has to travel 8.7m actually get paid? I doubt they get that very far delivery fee.

        Oh man I wish I could walk mate seriously. I have lower back pain which I've never had x-rayed in my life but it's probably a slip disk. I haven't left my home in close to a decade thanks to it and because of it I now suffer with agoraphobia… it's where you're scared to leave your home. I don't know how to get help with either of my issues so I can't do anything a normal person can do… but man trust me when I say I wish I could…

        I'd love to someday shop at Aldi since people keep bragging on how cheap they are which is another thing I can't do :(

      that's how it works. make the store huge. piles of stock on the floor so takes longer to see everything and walk around. you end up buying more than you came for.

      IKEA uses a similar concept, well the walking round part.

          but the walk around and view more products thing is true. it even works that way in supermarkets, they put specific stuff at eye level on the shelf, and on the ends of the aisles, because it makes people buy more.
