    Genuinely interested.

Do we still get the 125 day guarantee?

How many of the 5 star reviews were provided incentive to do so?

I've experienced other companies offering to provide free accessories ie Pillows etc if a 5 star review was left.

    • +12

      Hi Stevie,

Great questions, and yes, the 125-night trial absolutely still applies with this offer.

We reach out to all customers for feedback, and sometimes include incentives like a free pillow or entry into a draw. That said, our review emails clearly state that the incentive is available to anyone who leaves a review, whether it's 1 star or 5.

We believe in genuine feedback and full transparency. Australian law does not allow businesses to offer rewards only for positive reviews, and we strictly follow those guidelines. Our goal is to always improve, and honest customer experiences (good or bad) help us do that.

Thanks again for asking. We're here if you have any other questions.

        • +5

Thats called 'cash for comment' and makes your review worthless.

    • +8

Additionally, ProductReview.com.au is actually very strict, and will report customers to the ACCC if they find them in breach.

ProductReview has strict policies for incentivised reviews (compliant with ACCC guidelines) and verifies that companies offer incentives equally for both positive and negative reviews. Learn more here

    • Just read all those fine lines written in contract for 125 days return.

e.g. if you open packaging after 2 months and decide to return after a week (well within 125 days time), then they won't return (this was rule some 2 years back so possibly could have been amended). Similarly there could be many trap.
Just don't trust openly to the OP.
      ATB.

      • +1

That's the same with any warranty too. It starts from date of purchase.

        • +1

Did u even read my comment? Pls re-read.

      • These are very astute offers, pretty much any new mattress will feel good at the start so we throw away the old one, then when after three months bumps and indentations start appearing see you later return, and we all know what a mattress guarantee is worth.

  • damn this deal is crazy… wish i had the chance to get this deal last year

  • How do these compare to Sealey ones at Myer for example? Is it worth the extra dollars for those or will this be comparable?

    • +1

Great question. Mattresses at places like Myer usually go through several layers: factory, wholesaler, retailer. Each layer adds a markup. Then there are showroom costs, sales staff, and large marketing budgets.

We skip all of that. We order directly from the factory and ship straight to you. That means you're not paying for middlemen or overhead, just the actual quality of the mattress.

So while theirs might look more premium based on price, you're often just paying for overhead, not better sleep. Our focus is on premium quality without the fluff (or the markup).

Additionally, these mattresses have never sold for this price, it's only because we're making way for our new Gen3 range that has just been released. Our Gen3 range builds ontop of our previous Onebed Original, offering some additional features like edge support and a slightly thicker, charcoal support base.

We have been around since 2015 (10-year anniversary coming up 🥳) - Our mattresses have been constantly improving ever since we launched. For example, we take feedback from our customers on the firmness levels, if most people that return are returning because it's too firm, we increase the firmness slightly, if most are saying it's too soft, we decrease firmnesses slightly.

We've been doing this for almost a decade now, and we're at a position where we believe we've found the "sweet spot" with our adjustable layers. We've also had situations where some heavier customers would find their mattress sagging after a while, so we would increase the density of the foams used until we no longer got those complaints.

      • +3

Does the gen 3 have proper edge protection? E.g. edges don't give in when you're close to them which is a problem for box mattresses

      • +11

And yet in spite of all those overheads Myer can offer you a Sealy Queen mattress Made in Australia for $700.

For all the savings being a direct from factory (China?) and direct sales, you're "60% off" for $500. So are your original prices of $1000 bull?

Seems to me you can give us a bargain for something $200-$400. But you're price anchoring with marketing fluff.

      • +6

I think you got the increasing and decreasing backwards, but good to see a business working as it should

      • +17

if most people that return are returning because it's too firm, we increase the firmness slightly, if most are saying it's too soft, we decrease firmnesses slightly.

That's a serious power move right there. Stare them straight in the eye while you keep making their already too firm bed even harder. 😄

        • 😂😂😂

Ok, I definitely got that backwards. Too many people saying firm, we decrease the firmness.

          Thanks for the correction.

  • +7

Purchased in 2022. So far no complain at all.

    • +1

Another happy customer here! We've been enjoying our King for a similar length of time.

    • Likewise with a double on a adjustable base (although only occasionally used with adjusting - it stays flat unless someone gets sick)

      2 years and still firm

Also not latex, which for me is a skin irritant.

  • I am after a quality mattress, Though love to buy something affordable, my budget is 1K but can push up to 1.2 k, I would really appreciate any guidance.

    • +2

It’s easy to assume that a higher price means a better mattress - but that’s rarely the case.

The real key is matching the mattress to your preferred firmness and making sure the brand has a solid track record. At Onebed, we’ve been refining our designs for nearly 10 years, and what we’ve learned is simple: comfort, support, and long-term performance don’t have to come with a premium price tag.

      • Prefer medium-firm? Our Onebed Essential Gen 3 is ideal - and it happens to be our most affordable.

      • After a balanced, medium feel? Go with the Onebed X Hybrid. It’s loaded with premium materials like open-cell cooling foam, responsive springs, and a moisture-wicking charcoal layer.

      • Want medium to medium-firm with the option of a springy top layer? Try the Onebed Original (the one on clearance, or our new Gen 3 that comes with edge support & completely charcoal 5-zone support system), both our Original models have a flippable adjustable firmness layer, you can choose to have memory foam on top, or our springy Auralux foam.

Or, go with someone else, but please don't get sucked into the "higher price, better quality" when it comes to mattresses. Any mattress over $2,000 is usually priced that way because of huge markup, not materials - you’re paying for branding and margins, not a better night’s sleep.

      • Thank you, is there any stock of OneBed Modular 12'' queen size? How do you rate the OneBed original compared to the Zzz Atelier Chiropractic Black Label Mattress that costs $349?

        • +3

The Onebed Modular 12” is currently out of stock until August.

As for the mattress you mentioned - I haven’t tested it personally, and after a quick search, I noticed it lacks detailed specs. If it's the one listed on Kogan for around $389 (before shipping), it's thinner than even our most basic model and doesn’t specify the thickness or type of foam used, which makes it hard to compare directly.

By contrast, all Onebed mattresses use at least:

          • 18cm of high-density support foam

          • 8cm of comfort layers (a mix of cooling gel memory foam and Auralux foam)

That means you're getting more material value and better support, especially over time.

If you're after something extremely firm, the Onebed Essential is your best bet. You can unzip it, flip the mattress completely, and sleep directly on the support foam for a near-floor-firm feel.

Wish I had more info for a direct comparison, but without clearer specs on their end, it’s tough to evaluate what you’re really getting inside.

    • +1
  • +4

    This or Zzz Atelier?

  • Obviously not at all in the same price range, but how do foam mattresses compare with latex ones?

    • +5

We actually used latex in our Onebed Original mattress for nearly six years - it’s a fantastic material for comfort and support, with a natural "spring" that memory foam just can’t match.

That said, we eventually moved away from it for one key reason: heat retention. Latex is dense and doesn’t breathe well, which can make it harder to stay cool throughout the night.

We replaced it with our custom Auralux foam, which keeps the responsive feel of latex but uses open-cell technology to improve airflow and temperature regulation. You still get that satisfying bounce, but with a much cooler, more breathable sleep experience.

Side note: Latex also tends to crack and tear over time, especially if exposed to sweat, that absorbs into the mattress, then dries again. When this process is repeated over and over, latex will wear quite quickly. If you are going to go with a latex mattress, I'd definitely recommend getting a mattress protector, it will extend the life of your latex mattress by a lot.

  • +1

Is there any price gurantee? I bought one last month

If someone is looking for review, i bought one bed original, pretty nice. cant complain

  • Is there an option for something firm? How does the Medium/medium-firm thing work?

    • If you prefer a firmer feel, go with the Onebed Essential - it’s our most affordable mattress and now comes in a full 10-inch thickness (we previously offered it in 8"). It’s a great option for those who like solid support without the sink-in feel.

Our Onebed Original models feature a flippable comfort layer inside the cover. You can choose between:

      • Memory foam on top - for that classic slow-recovery feel.

      • Auralux foam on top - a springy, open-cell foam that’s soft, responsive, and better for airflow. This side is great if you like a medium, bouncier feel.

It’s like two sleep experiences in one mattress, so you can find what suits you best.

      • I am looking for the firmest mattress offered by Onebed? Can you please suggest me same in King Size. Also, till when this offer is valid?

        • If you want something ultra-firm then purchase the Onebed Essential. Unzip the cover, and flip the entire mattress, so the support foam is on the top. It is the firmest option we have available. The current offer is valid until July 7th, or while stock lasts.

          • @onebedmattress: What is the difference between Onebed Original and essential. And King essential ($700) is costlier than original ($540) and having far less discount even though marked price of original is more.

          • @onebedmattress: II am confused here: see the chatGPT result:

f you're seeking the firmest option between the Onebed Original and Onebed Essential mattresses, the Onebed Original would be the better choice.

            Onebed Original
Firmness: Rated at 8/10 on the firmness scale when configured with the latex layer on top, offering a notably firm and dense feel.
            bedbuyer.com.au

Customizable Layers: Features three adjustable layers—latex, memory foam, and high-density polyurethane foam—allowing you to rearrange them to achieve your preferred firmness level.
            onebed.com.au

Suitability: Ideal for back and stomach sleepers who require firmer support for proper spinal alignment.
            onebed.com.au

            Onebed Essential
Firmness: Generally rated around 7.5/10, providing a medium-firm feel.
            heymattress.com.au

Construction: Comprises two layers: a cooling gel-infused memory foam top layer and a high-density base foam.
            mattressreviews.com.au

Suitability: Designed to accommodate all sleeping positions, though individual comfort may vary.

            Summary:

Onebed Original offers a firmer feel with customizable layers, making it suitable for those who prefer a very firm mattress.

Onebed Essential provides a medium-firm feel at a more affordable price point.

If maximum firmness is your priority, the Onebed Original would be the recommended option.

            • @Ankit4632: Believe me, that's not corret. If you're looking for an ultra-firm mattress, buy the Onebed Essential, take the cover off, and flip the entire mattress upside down. It will be very firm.

Just purchased one as in need of a new mattress, hopefully its easy to reach out to you guys for 125-night trial period but with all the positive reviews Im hoping this mattress will keep the Mrs happy!

Koala had terrible customer support, tried reaching out to them but was ghosted. Maybe it was a one off thing but I wont be going back to them again

    Hi @onebedmattress @OneBed

I am looking for the firmest mattress offered by Onebed? Can you please suggest me same in King Size. Also, till when this offer is valid?

    • Offer is valid until 7th of July, however we expect to sell out of the clearance Onebed's quite soon.

If you're after the firmest mattress we offer, I would go with the Onebed Essential. It can also be flipped (comfort layers on the bottom), if you like an extremely firm mattress.

  • @onebedmattress Which mattress is best for side sleepers?

    • Onebed X, or Onebed Original (either Gen3, or the one that's on clearance).

If you buy a Onebed X, it's already perfectly set for side sleepers. If you purchase a Onebed Original, simply make sure to unzip the mattress, and put the Auralux (pink foam) on top.

  • How firm is it? I need like near floor hardness.

I been using an Asian brand called seahorse for over 30 years and no sag at all.

Now I am looking for a king size replacement

    • For an ultra-firm feel, go with the Onebed Essential. Just unzip the cover, flip the mattress, and sleep directly on the support foam layer - it’s about as close to floor firmness as you can get, and it’s also our most affordable option.

      • +2

If I order that and still not firm enough. Can I get a full refund?

  • Thanks for this. Is this latex-free? Checking due to allergic reaction.

    • +1

      Yes, latex free.

  • +1

Genuine question, what is the difference between these and those who appear to be same/similar but cheaper on MyDeal for example. I've purchased a couple from there over the years who look very similar in their advertisement to these, but they never lasted more than a year before sagging heavily (especially in the lower back/bottom areas of the mattress).

Would happily pay extra for yours if I knew for sure that it would be better, but I really don't know with these mattresses that come pre-packaged anymore as most look the same by looking at the material, claims, depth, etc etc

    • +3

The biggest difference comes down to foam quality and support structure.

Many of the mattresses on marketplaces like MyDeal use basic pocket spring systems with just 2–3cm of low-quality comfort foam - the kind where you can feel the springs through the top layer. That’s how they keep prices low: cheaper materials, lower durability.

      With our mattresses you’re getting:

      • 8cm of premium comfort foams (4cm cooling gel memory foam + 4cm Auralux foam)

      • 17cm of high-density support foam

We only use high-density, long-lasting foam in all support layers. That’s the difference you’ll feel - not just now, but years down the line.

    • +1

Foam density and moisture management is the name of the game.

"Interestingly Onebed doesn’t disclose the weight of its mattresses, however, speaking to a customer service representative we found out the Onebed Original Queen mattress is 33kg."

So comparable weight/density to the standard ecosa and a bit behind the 2025 Koala, two reputable all-foam mattresses with the same height. CertiPUR-US also means it meets a minimum standard of longevity and most gel foam formulations are fairly durable.

It doesn't have a sacrificial low-density layer either which is good. A lot of mattresses throw one in for some plush comfort that compromises the rest of the design.

It's midrange and respectable, it's going to last longer than most of the cheapies floating around. But if you want to get your moneys worth you really need a decent waterproof mattress projector with breathable sides, and a dehumidifier. What kills these newer PU foams isn't compression, it's moisture from your body, spills and the air. If you keep on top of that these mattresses should really last 7+ years without any notable sagging.

  • +1

have both a queen size and a single bed — after 2 years the queen has become too soft around the edges unfortunately

    • +11

Our newest Gen 3 models now include edge support for added durability. Since you’re still within your warranty period, you’re eligible for a free replacement.

Just email [email protected] with a few photos showing any sagging on the edges. Once received, our team will organise a replacement mattress to be shipped out at no cost to you.

  • Thank you! Goodbye Kogan Mattress that I purchased in 2019 and is ruining my back XD

  • is there any ultra firm queen size for sale? if I order now, can the warehouse delay the shipping to me till I move in 1-2 months time?

    • The Onebed Essential can be made to be ultra-firm - you'll just need to unzip the cover, and flip it around, so you the support foam is on top. It will be ultra firm. It's also our most affordable model.

We can also delay the shipping date, just include it in our special instructions at checkout.

Got the OG. It was areat mattress for a year and a bit and then it sagged in the middle. Tried to get you guys to follow through on your warranty but you refused because the sag wasn't visible in the pictures. Great sleep up until that point. Still the poor experience threw me off buying another one. Ended up having to get rid of it instead and buying a differrent mattress from Bedshed.

    • +5

Our mattresses - and our customer support - have come a long way since our OG model. If you're open to giving us another shot, I’d love to make things right.

Feel free to DM me your order number. I’ll personally review the past correspondence and, based on what you’ve shared, it sounds like this should’ve been handled under warranty. I’d be happy to offer you a free replacement when you're next due for a mattress upgrade.

  • This or Ecosa essence for $555 ?

    • +1

      This.

      Completely unbiased, of course 😂

But seriously, they don’t list the thickness of their support foams anywhere (or at least I couldn’t find it). Judging by the photos, they look maybe 1cm thick? And I can't even find how thick the actual mattress is? 🤪

If anyone can find the actual foam specs, feel free to reply - but I’d be shocked if they’re offering 8cm of comfort foam like we do.

  • +1

Companies like these are all the same, its in a box trust me there is more smarts to a mattress then rolling springs and tech in to a box. The only thing i have bought was the Sleeping duck indestructible base that is a serious base then pairing that with a top quality mattress from Serta you are in heaven. I have had my Serta mattress for almost 10 years (i paid 5k), and has not missed a beat still like it was when i bought it. On the other hand bought a Onebed mattress for the spare room, had guests over they said it was so incredibly hard also the springs just weigh a ton. Do yourself a favor only buy this if it not going to be slept on every night you deserve better

    • In fairness this must be a different model given it has no springs

      • This model here is foam, its even worse. Onebed sell a spring version which is their premium, all crap. They talk about removing latex for Foam cause foam is cheaper than latex. Latex does not make your bed hot. It's a wise tale remove your sheets. It's honestly as simple as that. Their claims are silly.

    • There’s always one 😄

Just to clarify for anyone reading - we’ve been refining our materials since 2015, and we don’t just throw some springs in a box and call it a day. Every model is carefully engineered with premium, breathable foams, high-density support layers, and thoughtful construction.

We also offer a 125-night trial with free returns, and every returned mattress is donated to charity - no catch. If it’s not for you, that’s completely fine. But plenty of Aussies love their Onebed (just check out our reviews).

Not every mattress suits every sleeper - but broad generalisations don’t help anyone. Appreciate your experience, but let’s keep it fair for those genuinely trying to make an informed decision.

      • -2

says the seller haha, donating to sellys is great, but the business model means your margins a huge. there is plenty video reviews of people not liking your mattresses and most of the comments on those videos state they returned. Though Ozbargain is the right place for this, you will get some sales for sure

  • How's this compare to sleeping duck?

    • +4

A Sleeping Duck Queen comes in at a whopping $1649.

Sleeping Duck has the added advantage of customising firmness on each side of the mattress. They use a pocket spring/hybrid system.

I believe our Onebed X is a good equivilent, but it does not have customisable firmness. Our Onebed Original Gen3 has customisable firmness though, but it's not a hybrid. Our Onebed Gen3 has some additional features that the Duck doesn't have, like edge support and a fully encased system for keeping the layers in place.

Even as a competitor, I can't hate on the Duck, it's a good mattress. They're rated 4.8/5 stars on ProductReview (same score as our Onebed X), and slightly higher than our Onebed Original (4.7/5).

We beat them on price, and the quality is similar for our premium model (Onebed X & Onebed Original Gen3).

      • Thanks for the honest response

  • Hi op,
I purchased a Onebed Original Gen3 last week…. so far so good!
I was super eager to also purchase a pillow to make it a bundle but it was of stock.
I called and your staff weren't aware when they were coming back in stock - any idea when this may be?
I'm also happy to leave a review on the mattress but the Product Review pages seems to be specific for each Onebed mattress type, can't seem to find a review page for the specific one I purchased (Original Gen3).

Generally, foam based mattresses all do this one thing eventually. Sag/indent. It's not if, it's when.

For lighter people it'll be both less of an issue and come on later too. For heavier set people the opposite. We're explicitly moving away from an all foam mattress due to such issues.

Moving to a pocket spring based bed with a few top layers (micro coils, latex foam layer(s), no polyfoam(latex tends to be more durable/hold its shape longer - and a supposed gaurantee of easy layer replacement without need for jumping through hoops)

That being said. Our current full foam mattress has indents that are felt/super noticable, but not super visible. OneBed appears to have the same warranty clause for this - 20mm visible dent/sagging requirement.

Unfortunately you're probably already falling into indentations and having some pain prior to that level of indentation.

To be clear, this is good value! More a word of warning re foam mattresses in general. Especially for people with back/hip issues and who are more heavyset. Because you try to offset being heavier with a firmer mattress, and it's a common mistake, firmness doesn't necessarily equal support.

  • +2

How does this compare to Ergoflex?

    • Would also like to know.

  • any places can try this out?

    • We keep our prices low by optimising our supply chain - no retail stores, no sales reps, no expensive rent.

But we do offer a 125-night trial. If you’re not happy for any reason, we’ll pick up the mattress for free, donate it to charity, and give you a full refund.

Not sure about firmness? Go with the Onebed Original (or our new Gen3 Original). You can adjust it between medium and medium-firm. And if it’s still not right, return it risk-free within 125 nights.

  • Great prices, I'm well overdue for a fresh mattress. If I side sleep, run hot, and literally hug the edge, but am otherwise not fussy about firmness, what am I looking at?

    • Onebed Original Gen3. If it doesn't suit you as a side, hot, edge hugging sleeper, reach out any time within the 125-night trial for a full refund. (no shipping costs, you receive every dollar you paid, and we'll donate the mattress to charity).

      • Legend, thanks.

  • Which one of these come with edge support ?

    • Onebed Original Gen3.

  • What's the difference with the gen 3?

    • It now has edge support and features a 100% charcoal 5-zone support layer.

Previously, the Onebed Original didn’t include edge support or 5-zone zoning - the base layer was just high-density foam. That’s now been fully upgraded.

      • Thanks for that. You guys should do a lot more on YouTube. Really hard to find any decent info about your mattresses.

  • +1

Just look at how many comments are asking about ultra-firm mattresses. There is a market for this. I personally haven't found a decent one after my seahorse mattress.
I know you can flip this and such, but I want both sides to be firm

    • +1

My thoughts exactly. Reporting directly to the production team, we need a model specifically for sleepers that perfer a firm mattress.

Onebed Essential, if you take the cover off, and flip the mattress, it will be ultra-firm - but I hear you, we need a model specifically designed for firm sleepers.
