I bought it last month, and used it to recharge, so id say yes.

      • Can I just recharge using the code on this click at the app?
-I have purchased an offer voucher code directly from Kogan-
I still have 30 days left on my current plan. If I recharge now, will the new plan start after these 30 days, or will it start immediately means I loose my 30 days remaining?

        Thanks for your help.

        • Yes you can recharge with the code. Renewal begins immediately so you'd lose what is remaining if you did it now

          • @Mugsy: Thanls a lot !
I still have a lot of data left from this year. If I recharge now, will the remaining data roll over, or will it be lost and replaced with only the data from the new plan?

            • @Elly07: theres no data roll over with Kogan

    500gb for $189 as well

Just need to make do with Vodafone. Better speeds than Boost/Telstra with terrible regional reception,

    • much better rual performance now they they have teamed up with the Optus network

    • This is what's making me re-consider churning from Boost to this deal. Didn't have great experience with Voda coverage. $300 for 240gb over 12 months.

  • Great deal. I have to my mum one year and she struggled with coverage. Hesitant to try again.

  • Not the best value, but may be useful if 200GB is enough

Is there a better one if I only need around 200GB, not fussed about the network?

  • Rats. Voucher expires 31 July and i am 69 days off from renewal

  • If this isn’t the best value - what is?

    • +3

Kogan mobile EOFY deals are the best value plans going, especially if you need higher data (50ish gb per month). There is a one off winner this year, Lyca mobile. 600GB for $180 ($15pm)

  • Sim churnung would be cheaper, but not as convenient as this prepaid 365 Day plan

  • Signed up to the 500gb for 189 last night
How long are people waiting for the voucher to be emailed out, got the esim but no voucher yet

    • Purchased a 12m esim other week. Voucher came through minutes after purchase. You can look in My Account for voucher too I think?

  • They got rid of the $120 plan :(
(I have 80gb left of 135gb, and my plan ends in 30 days)

    • +1

their plan it to give you more download that you probably wont use given their speed isnt great but for more $$$

they probably have utilisation charts that say many people dont use all their allocation but they wanna squeeze you for more money

      • +5

exactly this across all the providers, I don't need much, 60GB per year would do, but no such option from any of telcos/resellers

      • If that's the case, i might just start using more mobile data and get my money's worth.

        • yeah the thing is kogans speed is merely ok

like its fine for casual use but i think it doesnt even tap out what LTE is capable of

BUT i have used it to download torrents when my nbn was out and it works

    • What data was included in the $120 plan?

      • 120gb.black Friday deal was $99.00

  • Does anyone know if this is 4g or 5g?

    • +4

If there is no mention of 5G, it's 4G

  • Wow Kogan small is now 140GB, I remember a few years ago it was 80GB. And large used to be 250GB and now 300GB.

Imagine what the yearly cost would be like if you didn't need all that data…

Back in my days, they could turn off sms, voicemail, roaming and data and international data on their end by request. But that was corporate accounting with telcos.

Personally I do not see the point in all the increase in network internet data. There is enough free wifi around at places, at work, at the house. But stupid developers have made certain applications heavily reliant on mobile internet data. Hence the telco increase the data and the cost every few years.
But people are lazy and do not turn if off, thus 1mb is used very quickly when wireless internet is available.

    • 1mb is just like 0.5 second of youtube

Imagine what the yearly cost would be like if you didn't need all that data

No need to imagine, you can calculate it.

Amaysim's talk and text plan (also includes MMS) is $60/year. Put that on a physical SIM.

Data is about $3/Gigabyte through eSIM providers like Eskimo, possibly there are some cheaper providers.

So if you average 1GB/month of mobile data usage, the above plan is $8/month, or $96/year. If you use only WiFi for data, just use the Amaysim plan, and the cost is $60/year.

eSIM providers usually make it look like you're in another country though, which can cause problems with some websites (e.g. internet banking) and some apps (e.g. 7-11 fuel app). So it might be worthwhile to buy 1GB of data from Amaysim for $10, to use on those occasions when you need to appear as a local. Or learn how to VPN back to a local computer.

      • @Russ Cheers for the information. However… But…
The only TALK & TEXT plan currently listing on their website is: https://www.amaysim.com.au/sim-plans/28-day-sim-plans/as-you…
Not finding it via googles search engine either. Might have to contact them…

The mobile phone I have has dual sim, if I need mobile internet. No worries.

We are over more steps than it should be, in this day in age.

      • i'm looking for very low data plan which only use 24GB so far which expire 1 more month…seems amaysim at woolies on discount be good on for 3 months plan with 4GB and also considering $60 but need data not over 30GB monthly data but 10GB is more than enough.

  • This is 4G right?

    • Also needing to know this. I have read that 5G applies to Large plans however in the 'What's Included' of this Medium plan it says it's actually a Large plan. Keen to know if this is correct.

      • It's only the monthly "Large" plan where 5G applies, not the annual.

  • 200gb $139.00 and 140gb$150.00. crazy

    • its to hope people stay on the plan and pay more in year 2 by default.

    Last year was cheaper :(
