    Enjoy!

I had it for a year and couldn't find one single interesting thing to watch..

Star Trek Strange New Worlds is a good show, if that's your thing. Also, South Park.

    • +3

Same. I got one year from an Origin NBN subscription. Couldn't find a single thing to watch

I found landman quite good. But other than that it was devoid of anything good.

    Oppenheimer

    Yellowjackets

    Star trek

That'll do for 7 days. It's been more than a year since my last free trial.

  • Wanna try Matlock. Worth it?

Waiting for their usual 40-50% off promo that they run around this time every year.

Ah, another classic “7-day free trial” deal—credit card required, of course. Because nothing says “bargain” like a temporary pass that’s been a staple of streaming since, well, forever. If we keep posting these, we’ll never run out of “deals” to keep the front page looking lively!

But let’s get real: most of us are here for the series, not just movies. If you want to actually finish a full season of the average Paramount+ drama or thriller before your trial runs out, here’s the math:

    • Average episodes per season: About 8.6
    • Average episode length: Roughly 53 minutes
    • Total viewing time per season: Over 7.5 hours
    • Episodes per day needed: Around 1.2 (so, 1 or 2 episodes daily)

Now, even if you use an auto-cancel function or set yourself a reminder, if you don’t watch at least 1.2 episodes a day, you’ll technically end up paying for a full month’s subscription just to finish your series. That’s not much of a “free trial” if you get hooked and end up forking out anyway!

Sounds like more of a “hook you in and reel you out” deal, if you ask me. Maybe we should just rename the site “OzFreeTrial” and be done with it. Or start posting the sunrise—that’s a free event every day, and at least it doesn’t require a credit card!

    In short:
This “deal” is just a standard free trial, and unless you’re a serious binge-watcher, you’ll likely end up paying for a month to finish your show. Not exactly the bargain most of us are looking for!

Not sure why the majority of your post needed to be in bold?

      • Neither do I.

        So there you go

Its the standard 'offer' thats been running for years, not a deal

    • Correct, same with Amazon Prime, get 7 days free trial, which I've just used up.
That's seperate to the 7 days free trial as listed here.
Ironically, I spent a bit of time last night searching online for a current Paramount+ discount code, tried using some of the old ones as posted on OzB and updating the year etc, and nothing worked unfortunately

I'd get it at 50% off for a year

The annual subscription has a 25% discount over the $10.99 per month at $97.99 per year

Correct, same with Amazon Prime, get 7 days free trial, which I've just used up.

through PrimeVideo it's recurring, I think yearly based on my memory.

I've already used by 2nd week of Shudder, and 2nd week of MGM.

edit: also this is based on me cancelling before renewal, not paying to continue the sub through Prime. not sure if that changes anything.
